S. Martin Gordon graduated from New York University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Real Estate and Banking. After serving in the United States Navy, Mr. Gordon attended New York Law School where he received his LL.B. Degree. He has been practicing law in the State of New York since 1969.
Mr. Gordon has lectured at the Rockland Community College Continuing Education Program for Certified Public Accountants and delivers lectures to professional and financial groups on the topics of Estate Planning using the living trust. His work takes him into close proximity with accountants and financial planners while assisting clients.
Mr. Gordon is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, the Rockland County Bar Association, the Westchester Bar Association and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He is a member of the estate Planning and Trust Sections in each of those organizations. His practice is limited to Trusts, Elder law and Estate Planning.
Over the years Mr. Gordon had administered and settled numerous estates through the probate courts of this state. He served as Assistant County Attorney for the County of Rockland and has represented as General Counsel, the Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority.
Mr. Gordon's aim as an estate planner is to help each client protect their assets while alive, from the overwhelming cost of long tern care, and to make sure that upon death those assets are preserved from the unnecessary expenses of federal estate taxes, legal fees and court costs. During his seminars it is Mr. Gordon's aim to remove the mystery out of the estate planning process.
